About me
Hello and welcome. I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist who trained at Birkbeck College, London, and graduated with an MSc. in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work with adults on an individual basis.
Sometimes it can feel very hard to see a way forward to living with less anxiety, or understanding why we feel stuck, or blocked, or unable to make changes or feel better. I will provide a safe and confidential space in which we can think together about ingrained mental obstacles and how they affect you.
Psychodynamic work helps us to understand how our past experiences and unconscious processes are alive and present in how we are currently feeling and experiencing ourselves and our actions, impulses and relationships. Thinking together can highlight patterns that were hard to see alone.
Working together in this way brings insight into unravelling the strands of the root causes and brings space for increased understanding of the self, kindness to the self and resilience to step forward into life.
After an initial phone conversation we meet face to face on a weekly basis for one year, and each session lasts for 50 minutes. Shorter term work can take place by mutual agreement.
