About me

I am an experienced BACP accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with 15 years experience. In addition to my Masters from Birkbeck and University of East London, School of Psychology, I followed various courses in the fields of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. I previously worked for 20 years as a Trade Development Consultant for French Embassies abroad, with a diplomatic status. This gave me an in depth understanding of the corporate environment as well as of cultural diversity. I had the opportunity to travel extensively and to live on a long term basis in various countries in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and the US. I have a particular interest in mindfulness, meditation, sport and art therapy. The therapeutic relationship is of prime importance to me. I am very relatable and approachable, within the clear boundaries of therapy. I have dual nationality French and British.

Vicky's Client Testimonials

"Vicky has an exceptionally high and broad panel of skills and qualities that I recommend to anyone in need of support, introspection or deeper psychological help and therapeutical work. First of all, she is highly qualified, active in the field and genuinely passionate about what she does. Vicky is also a very intellectually sharp and socially sensitive person.

She is gifted with a magnificient empathy and capacity to listen and exchange. The fact that she is so open-minded is found in the diversity of her approaches and skills as well as the languages you can exchange fluently with Vicky : English obviously, but also French and Spanish.

Like a wonderful piano teacher I used to work with, Vicky would never impose an approach or a "methodology" at first and always try to find the one that really fits to your needs, using her experience and the many tools available. Perhaps to me, this means the most. Hence, I am very grateful for all what I learnt from and with her, and for all the practical results that this therapeutical relationship has implemented in my everyday life."

"Vicky Sinclair changed my life. I went to therapy to manage anxiety around returning to a leadership position at work as a new mum, and I could've stopped there, but I went further and in the process, embarked on a much bigger internal journey of self discovery, childhood, loss, trauma, boundaries, compassion, acceptance, etc. that ended with having a new approach to life (including work), closure on the past, greater confidence, and a much more positive way of thinking and seeing the world.

I strongly recommend Vicky to anyone considering therapy (small/specific or big/broad). She's a modern, inspirational, candid therapist with a lot of experience, insight, knowledge and compassion. You need to do the self-work and be open to the journey, but I can't think of a better guide who can have a positive, long lasting impact on your life. I am eternally grateful to her.

I also wish I went to therapy sooner because there are so many studies and learnings about the human brain and way we evolved/think/react/process events/etc., it's crazy it doesn't form part of our basic education. We could all lead much more fulfilling lives if we knew we weren't alone in our thoughts/experiences, educated ourselves, found the roots of our challenges, and were aware of the tools at our disposal."
